The famous Australian footwear and clothing brand R.M. Williams has decided to distance itself from Australia's former skipper Michael Clarke in the wake of his ongoing controversy about the video scandal.

The iconic Australian brand confirmed it has ‘no plans’ to work with the former Australian captain after a viral video showed him accused of cheating before getting slapped across the face by girlfriend Jade Yarbrough.

R.M. Williams stated that its relationship with Clarke started and ended in 2022 and has no plans to reignite it after the controversy. The statement read, “R.M.Williams worked with Michael Clarke once only, a one-off Father’s Day shoot in early September 2022.”

“The brand has had no further association with Mr Clarke and has no plans to work with him again,” stated R.M Williams.

Clarke and his girlfriend Yarbrough were holidaying on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast with Yarbrough’s sister, Jasmine Stefanovic, and her husband, Karl Stefanovic (Today show co-host), where an onlooker filmed the whole incident where shirtless Clarke got slapped by Yarbrough across the face.

Yarbrough screamed, “I’m f**king wrong? You’re a f***ing liar.”

The footage appeared to show Clarke’s girlfriend confronting him over suspicions that he had cheated on her with ex-girlfriend Pip Edwards by asking her to come to India with him.

Shoving Clarke, Yarbrough said, “I can see everything. You called her.”

Clarke also tried to defend himself by saying, “Baby, you’re wrong, you’re wrong.”

“Baby, baby, Belly was at the house. I swear on my life, I swear at my life … That’s not true, it’s not true. On my daughter’s life.”

Jasmine Stefanovic also tried to drag her sister away to diffuse the situation and then Clarke turned his attention to Jasmine.

It is also believed that BCCI maybe reviewing their plans for the former Australian skipper to join its commentary line-up for the upcoming Border Gavaskar Trophy in India, starting Febraury 9.
