Former India cricketer and current Telugu commentator, Venkatapathy Raju, has stated that he is extremely impressed with Sunrisers Eastern Cape bowler, Sisanda Magala.

Eastern Cape skipper Aiden Markram was the star as with his perfect all-round performance he helped his side get the better of MI Cape Town by four wickets in the ongoing SA20.

He's the most impressive bowler: Venkatapathy Raju

Prior to this clash against MI Cape Town, the Sunrisers Cape Town had a very disappointing outing. Viacom18 Sports expert, Venkatapathy Raju, felt that they had not been up to the mark. Speaking on Match Centre Live, Raju said, “Sunrisers’ bowling has been disappointing this season. But we know this is the first season and it takes time to settle. At the same time, points are also important.”

Raju, however praised the performance of Magala. “Magala has been the most impressive bowler. Every match, he has been improving. He takes wickets at a good economy rate,” said Raju.

Sisanda Magala performed very well with the ball, returning with figures of 2/22 in 4 overs. Apart from making a match-winning half century, skipper Markram also picked up two key wickets including the very dangerous Dewald Brevis. With this win, Eastern Cape have succeeded in adding the first points to their tally, having lost their opening two games.

MI Cape Town, who had shown a great batting display in the last two matches, looked ordinary in this game as they were restricted to a manageable total of 158/8. Although the Sunrisers were given a run for their money, they succeeded in getting the job done in the final over with four wickets to spare.
