Former England pacer Stuart Broad has bagged a fortune from sponsorship and media gigs. Notably, the recently retired pacer relished a magnificent campaign with England in the five-match Ashes series against arch-rivals Australia.

According to a recent report, Broad’s firm - ‘Stuart Broad Ltd’  - has netted £2.38million in cash and assets, worth £319,000 in 2021. In addition to this, the former English pacer also managed to strike deals with brands such as Adidas, Red Bull and Hardy’s among others.  He also co-owns a pub in Upper Broughton in Nottinghamshire which also adds to his net income. Likewise, his compatriots, skipper Ben Stokes is a director of BAS Promotions Ltd, which has £2.1m in money and assets whereas Joe Root has £1.72m in capital and reserves.

Speaking about Broad’s campaign in the recently concluded Ashes 2023, the pacer claimed 22 wickets in 10 innings and drew curtains on his international career with a wicket which helped England get on level terms 2-2 in the series. In 167 Test matches, Broad claimed 604 wickets, lacing it with 20 five-wicket hauls and three 10-fors. The 37-year-old also played 121 ODIs and 56 T20Is and collected 178 and 65 wickets, respectively. The English pacer was recently offered punditry on Sky Sports and donned the commentator’s hat in the ongoing The Hundred 2023.

Like Broad, England all-rounder Moeen Ali too signed off his international career following the conclusion of the Ashes 2023. Moeen confirmed that he would not get back to red-ball cricket and ruled out touring India for the five-match Test series in 2024. In 68 Tests, Moeen accumulated 3094 runs with five hundreds and 15 fifties at an average of 28.12. The off-spinner also claimed 204 wickets in the red-ball format. Meanwhile, England will play a multi-format series against New Zealand which includes four T20Is and as many ODI matches, starting with the first T20I at the Riverside Ground in Chester-le-Street on August 30.
