Suryakumar Yadav continued his red-hot form in ongoing India's white-ball tour to New Zealand by smashing his second T20I hundred in the second T20I. He has cemented his place at top of the current ICC T20I Batters chart and looks set to dominate Indian cricket for the next few years.
He never misses a chance to treat his fans with his extraordinary cricketing shots and his unique ability to pull off biggies on any delivery. He continues to attract more and more fans and make a big name for himself. Many fans are already tipping him as India's best batter in the shortest format and believe that he is in the league of big names like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.
Notably, Kohli dominated the T20 World Cup 2022 by scoring the highest 296 runs from just six innings with the help of four fifties. But Suryakumar also managed to leave a big impact by scoring 239 runs from just six innings at an impressive strike rate of 189.68. Both Kohli and Surykaumar were highlights for India for building up innings from with responsible partnerships in the World Cup.
While it is too early to compare Surykumar with Kohli, fans are always curious to compare their favorite cricketers with other scenarios. Kohli, at the age of 34, remains one of the fittest cricketers in the cricket world and Suryakumar agrees with that.
Recently, Suryakumar was asked about who will win the 100m race between himself, Kolhi, and Hardik Pandya, and the star batter was quick to answer, "Virat Kohli." Meanwhile, After smashing 111* against New Zealand in the second T20I, the 32-year-old batter revealed that he enjoys batting with Kohli and praised the former captain for his fitness.
"I enjoy batting with Virat Kohli a lot, we have lots of funs. Whenever I bat with Virat Kohli, I have to run a lot between the wickets because he is Super fit," Sutyakumar told ESPNcricinfo.
Suryakumar also revealed that he would like Shreyas Talpade to play his role in a movie as the veteran Marathi actor has already donned cricketer roles in his hit movies Kaun Pravin Tambe (2022) and Iqbal (2005).
