Former Pakistan skipper Misbah-ul-Haq has praised India batter Suryakumar Yadav and said that India's batting has strengthened since his inclusion in the team. Misbah said that Suryakumar has all kind of shots and because of that, the role of the top order has changed as well.

Since his inclusion into the Indian team, Suryakumar has piled up more than 1,000 runs in just 34 T20I matches, with nine fifties to his name. The right-handed batter is expected to play a crucial for team India in the ongoing T20 World Cup

"Suryakumar Yadav ke aa jaane se mujhe lagta hai unki batting strength badhi hai. (After Suryakumar Yadav's inclusion, India's batting strength has increased). The range he has and the kind of shots he plays against any bowler - he has all types of shots - and because of this, the role of the top order has changed as well. Then there is Hardik Pandya and Dinesh Karthik who play the finisher's role," Misbah was quoted as saying by A-Sports.

Earlier team India had a strategy like the current Pakistan team: Misbah

The former Pakistan batter also talked about the change in team India's approach in T20 cricket which has given them ample success in the last few series. Misbah feels that team India is done with its reserved and timid approach and have adopted a more attacking template of batting.

"Overall, you can see that after last year's World Cup they have decided to change their approach. Earlier they had a strategy like the current Pakistan team. But now they have taken an England-like policy - which is to just go after the bowling. They score the maximum runs in the powerplay and according to that, Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul have adapted. Even Virat Kohli, who used to take time earlier, comes and starts attacking," he pointed out.

Meanwhile, team India will take on Pakistan in their tournament opener to be played at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on October 23 (Sunday).
