The star Indian batter Virat Kohli continues to dominate the ongoing T20 World Cup 2022 tournament as India finished the Super 12 group-stage campaign with a big win against Zimbabwe. Kohli, who has smashed three unbeaten fifties from the opening four games, scored 26 runs off 25 balls and now leads the scoring chart with 246 runs from just five innings in the tournament.

Kohli, who turned 34 on Saturday (November 5), has always amazed cricketing fans with the ability to score consistently across formats. He maintains remarkable fitness which can be seen when he adds extra runs while running between the wickets. He is known for converting that impossible 1s to 2s and 2s to 3s with his quick feets and fans rarely see him get run out while grabbing that extra run.

Sunil Gavaskar denies questions over Virat Kohli's fitness:

But Kohli is a human after all and fans witnessed a rare proof of that during his innings against Zimbabwe. He was spotted rubbing his chest and taking deep breaths after completing a quick double. This got fans worried for a moment but Kohli was back to his feet and showed no sign of a lack of energy.

The former Indian cricket great Sunil Gavaskar, while commenting, squashed any questions on Virat's fitness by saying that the second run was always going to be tough and Kohli is just taking a little breather after that.

"He is such a quick runner between the wickets. Always looking for the extra run. You could see that the moment he played it, he knew where the fielder was, and knew the power that he had. And so, the second was always going to be on. Just giving himself a little bit of a breather," Sunil Gavaskar said during the commentary.

Kohli got caught out on 26 runs but India managed to post a big 186/5 total with KL Rahul and Suryakumar Yadav scoring brilliant fifties. Then Ravichandran Ashwin grabbed three wickets to bowl out Zimbabwe on just 115 runs in 17.2 as Indian team recorded a big 71-run win. With this win, India topped the Super 12 Group 2 table and will clash against England in the semi-final round on November 10.
