A shocking incident unfolded in Savalagi village, located in Karnataka’s Bagalkot district, on May 13.
A 21-year-old man violently attacked a school teacher following a dispute over a cricket ball. The incident took place within the school premises during a casual game of cricket, when the ball allegedly landed near the residence of 36-year-old primary school teacher Ramappa Pujari.
Pavan Jadhav, the accused approached the teacher to retrieve the ball. But, Pujari reportedly informed him that the ball had not entered his property. What started as a minimal verbal disagreement soon escalated into a heated argument and turned violent.
In a fit of anger, Jadhav assaulted the teacher. Shockingly, he proceeded to stab Pujari using both a broken bottle and a knife, before running away from the scene.
The brutal attack left the teacher with multiple facial injuries, and he was immediately rushed to a private hospital for medical treatment. The entire incident was captured on CCTV, which drew widespread outrage and concern.
The local police acted swiftly by using the footage to identify and capture Jadhav. Meanwhile, the incident has raised alarm about rising aggression among youth and the importance of addressing such behavior early through proper guidance, which is highly necessary.
