Trinbago Knight Riders announced on August 30 that Dwayne Bravo's No. 47 jersey will be permanently retired, a distinction no Caribbean Premier League player has ever received before him.

Bravo stepped away from playing cricket in 2024 after building an extraordinary record with the franchise. He was appointed TKR Head Coach ahead of the CPL 2025 season and, in that debut campaign on the sidelines, guided the team to the title. That victory gave him a sixth CPL championship in connection with the franchise, adding to the five he had collected as a player.

During his playing days in the CPL, Bravo appeared in 107 matches and took 129 wickets, a tally that places him above every other bowler in the competition's history. No. 47 will not be worn by any future Trinbago Knight Riders player, preserving it as a permanent marker of what he built across both roles.
