The Indian Men's Cricket Team met with members of the Indian High Commission ahead of the third ODI against England at Lord's, interacting with members of the Indian diaspora during the visit.

The event, which took place on July 18, the day before the game, saw BCCI Vice-President Rajeev Shukla also at the venue, addressing the gathering along with head coach Gautam Gambhir, skipper Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer and Prasidh Krishna, who responded to questions from members of the diaspora.

During the visit, Indian stalwarts Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma were seen interacting cheerfully with head coach Gautam Gambhir. Photographs from the event saw the trio seated together in the front row during the event, and also shared conversations and anecdotes among them.

The two veterans in the team have been in the news of late, along with their coach, for various reasons. Ahead of the series, fans noted cold interactions between Kohli and Gambhir during net sessions, which became a talking point due to past history between the pair. Rohit has been in the news with speculations over his retirement coming in the final ODI quashed by the BCCI ahead of the game.

India go into the final game at Lord’s with the series drawn at 1-1. They beat the hosts by six wickets in the opener at Edgbaston, but lost by four wickets in the subsequent match in Cardiff. They will be looking to seal the series with a dominant performance in the final game. Kohli has scored 70 runs in two innings in the series, which included a well-made 65 off 66 balls in the second game.

This was his second half-century in 2026, and he has also scored a century in the five matches he has played this year. Rohit, on the other hand, has had a torrid time with the bat, scoring just 37 runs in two innings. He scored a laborious 47-ball 26 in Cradiff, while being dismissed for 11 in Birmingham. He will be looking to record a big score, with his 79 against Afghanistan being his only 50-plus score of the year.
