Rishabh Pant was heard conveying his displeasure to the square-leg umpire after England batter Harry Brook took too much time to get ready when Ravindra Jadeja was bowling on Day 3 of the second Test against India at Edgbaston.
Pant was seen encouraging Jadeja to bowl and openly commented on Brook's tactics, which were caught on the stump mic. The commentators also complimented Pant and stated that there was no one better than the wicketkeeper-batter to point out such nuances.

Meanwhilel, Brook was interviewed at the end of the day's play, and he praised the Indian bowlers for using the second new ball well to come back into the contest despite a 303-run partnership between Brook and Jamie Smith. Brook praised how well the likes of Akash Deep and Mohammed Siraj used the angles.
"They bowled really well with the new ball. They got it moving off the seam, off the pitch quite a lot and then at the back-end there when I was batting specially. We didn't get as much out of the surface as them. I reckon they are quite used to these conditions with these skiddy low pitches and you see that a lot in India. They used the angles very well. Akash Deep came wide on the crease and he was trying to angle it back into the off-stump. Similar with Siraj as well," Brook told Jio Hotstar.

Brook confident of England's chances for Edgbaston Test
It seemed as if England would end up earning a lead with the way Brook (158 off 234) was batting alongside Jamie Smith. However, Deep and Siraj blew the English lower order away with the second new ball. Smith ended up unbeaten on 184 off 207. The Shubman Gill-led unit was able to gain a 180-run lead.
