Before the fourth T20I match between India and West Indies in Florida, former Indian opener Wasim Jaffer shared his thoughts on the upcoming encounter, shedding light on the pivotal role that the pitch might play while also addressing concerns regarding India's batting unit.

Jaffer, known for his cricketing insights, believes that the pitch at Florida is going to be a perfect one for batting. Expressing his opinion, he said that the surface will be helpful for the out-of-form batters.

"He (Samson) is due some runs. This is a high-scoring ground where the ball will come onto the bat and he will like batting here. Whether it's him or Shubman Gill or Jaiswal, if you're in poor form, you won't get a better pitch than this. So they need to make the most of it," as quoted by Sportskeeda.

Highlighting the struggle of certain key Indian batters in the ongoing T20Is, Jaffer's words resonate with cricket enthusiasts. Samson and Gill, who have displayed their mettle with half-centuries in ODIs, have been struggling to make a mark in the shortest format.

Jaffer also applauded West Indies' T20I skipper Rovman Powell, commending his leadership qualities and game awareness. According to Jaffer, Powell's responsibility as captain has significantly boosted his on-field performance.

"It seems like the responsibility of captaincy has had a positive impact on him. After Nicholas Pooran if there's any batter who West Indies are dependent on, then it's Rovman Powell," Jaffer stated.

Nicholas Pooran's role as West Indies' stand-out player has not gone unnoticed. Jaffer stressed the importance of dismissing Pooran early, given the team's heavy reliance on his batting prowess.

"Nicholas Pooran is their trump card. He is crucial to their chances of scoring big. Because other batters apart from Powell haven't been able to step up and they need to do better."

As the fourth T20 spproaches, it's apparent that the pitch conditions could swing the balance in favor of the batters, adding an extra layer of excitement to the impending contest. With the series poised at a crucial point, fans are eagerly anticipating a tough clash that could potentially alter the series' final result.
