India and Australia will square off in a three-match ODI series. The opening ODI will be commencing on September 22, at the Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali. The Men in Blue have a significant advantage going into the series, having won the Asia Cup title for the record-eighth time.

India registered a comfortable 10-wicket win over the hosts Sri Lanka in the final in Colombo. Notably, the Men in Blue completely left Sri Lanka bamboozled as they were folded for a paltry 50-run total. Needing 51 runs, the Indian openers Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan cruised to victory in just 6.1 overs.

Speaking of Australia, on the other hand, are coming off a 3-2 ODI series defeat to South Africa, after taking a 2-0 lead at first. The three ODIs will act as a dress rehearsal for the much-awaited Cricket World Cup 2023 in India, which starts on October 5.
