We are into the final stages of Asia Cup 2022, as the upcoming game between Sri Lanka and Pakistan will be the last fixture of the Super 4 stage. Both teams have had a fantastic run so far after losing their first game.

Pakistan has a lot of things going their way and the fina- over victory against Afghanistan will be something they will cherish for a long time. The Men in Green have one of the best fast bowling units in the world at the moment despite the inexperience and it has perfectly worked out for them so far. Skipper Babar Azam will defenitely need few runs under his belt ahead of the all-important final.

On the other hand, Sri Lanka have been nothing short of amazing and their victories against Afghanistan and India make them a really dangerous side now. With their aggressive approach, any score could be chased and the bowlers have been feeding off each other with excellent remarks to ensure things are under control. This will be a perfect rehearsal of the final on Sunday.

Pitch and Conditions

The Dubai International Stadium has provided a lot for the bowlers to work upon and the big boundaries could be an advantage for the bowler to use the angles. The skipper winning the toss will be looking to bowl first at the wicket which has been the way to go in the tournament.

Playing Combinations for SL vs PAK

Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka have retained the playing XI for the last three games and it has been working well for them. Charith Asalanka might be the only issue but with the current form of the side, the skipper will be looking to persist with him and give him a long rope.

Predicted XI: Pathum Nissanka, Kusal Mendis (wk), Charith Asalanka, Danushka Gunathilaka, Bhanuka Rajapaksa, Dasun Shanaka (c), Wanindu Hasaranga, Chamika Karunaratne, Maheesh Theekshana, Asitha Fernando, Dilshan Madushanka

Pakistan

Pakistan did have a collapse in the middle-order in the previous game, however, the bowling department has been impressive so far, with Haris Rauf leading the way. The same side is expected to play in the upcoming fixture as well.

Predicted XI: Mohammad Rizwan (wk), Babar Azam (c), Fakhar Zaman, Khushdil Shah, Iftikhar Ahmed, Shadab Khan, Asif Ali, Mohammad Nawaz, Haris Rauf, Mohammad Hasnain, Naseem Shah
