Sri Lanka and India are all set to continue their ongoing three-game T20I series. Both sides will lock horns in the third T20I at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium on Tuesday, July 30. The result of the series has already been declared, as the Men in Blue have already clinched the series after winning the first two matches.
However, as the third T20I approaches, Sri Lanka will hope for a consolation win against the Suryakumar Yadav-led Indian team. Speaking of the first two T20Is, the Men in Blue have put in excellent performances to clinch the series so far.
The first T20I saw India post a total of 213 runs on the board in the first innings. Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 40 runs, Suryakumar Yadav scored 58 runs, and Rishabh Pant scored 49 runs. Aiming to defend the total, India limited Sri Lanka to a score of 170 runs. Arshdeep Singh and Axar Patel took two wickets each, with Riyan Parag taking three and Mohammed Siraj and Ravi Bishnoi striking once each.
As for the second T20I, Sri Lanka managed to put up some fight. Batting first, Sri Lanka posted a total of 161 runs in the first innings, aiming to chase the target. India got a revised target of 78 runs to chase down due to the rain playing spoilsport. India chased the target with ease, winning the second T20I by seven wickets.
