Pakistan and Bangladesh will square off in the 41st game of the T20 World Cup 2022, which is the penultimate contest of the Super 12 stage of the tournament, at the Adelaide Oval on Sunday, November 06. Pakistan defeated South Africa by a margin of 33 runs in the rain-curtailed game at Sydney, bagging their second tournament win.

On the other hand, Bangladesh also had two wins from the previous four fixtures as they defeated Zimbabwe and the Netherlands while losing to India and South Africa. The Shakib al Hasan-led side came very close to winning their previous game against India and would look to put up a similar show against Pakistan as well.

For this game against Bangladesh, which they must win, the Men in Green won't alter their starting lineup. The team will be depending on skipper Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan, as well as the all-rounder group of Mohammad Nawaz, Iftikhar Ahmed, and Shadab Khan, to score the majority of the runs in the batting department.

Mohammad Haris, a newbie batter, scored a quick-fire 28 off 11 deliveries including two fours and three sixes, signifying the decision of including him. Iftikhar Ahmed, a seasoned batter, reached his second half-century of the competition, while Shadab Khan's game-changing 22-ball half-century, which included three fours and four sixes, changed the match’s course.

The Bangladesh team would be expecting the finest cricket possible from their players. The team will be depending on players like Najmul Hossain Shanto, Shakib Al Hasan, Nurul Hasan, Liton Das, and Afif Hossain to score the majority of the runs. The pace unit of Taskin Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahman, and Hasan Mahmud will be looked upon for getting important breakthroughs.

Pitch Conditions

Adelaide Oval's pitch is a humdinger of a track. The ball comes nicely onto the bat, allowing the batters to hit past the boundary right away in their innings. The playing surface maintains its integrity throughout the contest, and spectators may anticipate a high-scoring contest there.

Playing Combinations for PAK vs BAN

Pakistan

It is a must-win game for Pakistan so as to keep their semi-final hopes alive. Though they are in contention, the chances are minimal as they also depend on India’s and South Africa’s defeats. But speaking of their playing combination, Pakistan have the momentum and are unlikely to make changes to the XI.

Predicted Playing XI: Mohammad Rizwan (wk), Babar Azam (c), Mohammad Haris, Shan Masood, Iftikhar Ahmed, Mohammad Nawaz, Shadab Khan, Mohammad Wasim Jr., Naseem Shah, Haris Rauf, Shaheen Shah Afridi

Bangladesh

Bangladesh came very close to winning the previous game but the tables turned, and the momentum shifted after the rain delay. The team are in good touch, and thus they are unlikely to make any changes to their XI until some injury concern forces them to.

Predicted Playing XI: Najmul Hossain Shanto, Litton Das, Shakib Al Hasan (c), Afif Hossain, Yasir Ali, Mosaddek Hossain, Nurul Hasan (wk), Mustafizur Rahman, Hasan Mahmud, Taskin Ahmed, Shoriful Islam
