The 12th and final Group Stage match between Scotland and Zimbabwe is a knockout game for both sides, with a Super 12 berth up for grabs at the Bellerive Oval on the 21st of October. The winner of this crucial game will qualify for the next round as group winners since both Ireland and West Indies have an inferior net run rate.
Scotland, who pulled off a massive upset in the opening game against two-time winners West Indies, were at the receiving end of a miraculous chase in their second game against Ireland. The defeat left them needing a victory in their final group game to ensure passage to the next round of the ongoing T20 World Cup in Australia.
Meanwhile, Zimbabwe were completely outplayed by Nicholas Pooran's side in their second game, following the victory against Ireland in the opening fixture. The absence of Zimbabwean skipper Craig Ervine did not help their cause either, as Sikandar Raza failed to replicate his heroics with the bat from the previous outing.
Pitch Conditions
The track in Hobart suits the batters more in comparison to the other venues in the country due to its inviting shorter boundaries. Bowlers will have to be spot-on with their tactics if they wish to contain the batters on this venue.
Playing Combinations for SCO vs ZIM
