India and Australia last squared off in December 2022 when the Women in Yellow toured India. While the Aussies remained dominant throughout the series with four wins, the Women in Blue could manage only a win to their petty. In T20 World Cup, the two sides last faced each other in the finals of the 2020 global event, where the Aussies lifted the title for a record fifth time.

India’s record against Australia in T20 World Cup has been decent. The two teams have met five times in the marquee event over the years since its inception in 2009, and while India have won two contests, Australia have won the remaining three. Overall, in T20Is, Australia hold an upper hand over India having won 22 out of the 30 matches played in total.

The Aussies have been unbeaten in the tournament so far, having won all four games in the group stage. On the other hand, India faced a defeat against England but won the remaining three games to finish with six points to their name.
