The inaugural season of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2023 has already provided for some memorable moments with some cracking matches in the competition. Match 6 of the tournament will see Gujarat Giants take on Royal Challengers Bangalore on Wednesday, March 8 at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai.

Both Gujarat Giants and Royal Challengers Bangalore have gotten off to horrendous starts to the tournament. Both teams lost their first two matches and will be eager to register their first win as they take each other on soon.

Despite having a star-studded squad with the likes of Smriti Mandhana, Ellyse Perry, Heather Knight, and many more, RCB are still struggling to put a decent score on the scoreboard. The side was dominated in both of their matches against Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians.

On the other hand, it hasn’t been any better for Gujarat Giants. The team faced Mumbai Indians and UP Warriorz in the first two matches of the WPL, both of which they lost in spectacular fashion. The injury to skipper Beth Mooney seems to have put a dent in the team’s plans going forward.

The surface at Brabourne Stadium seems to be batter-friendly. The side that bats first could be at a massive advantage going into the match and could look to post a big total on the scoreboard to put the opposition under pressure.
