Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will lock horns against Delhi Capitals (DC) in match number 40 of the IPL 2023 at Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi on April 29, 2023.

Delhi Capitals will be coming into the contest on the back of two successive wins, one against Kolkata Knight Riders at home and the other against SRH away from home. With two wins from seven games, Delhi are currently placed at the bottom of the points table. David Warner has been the go-to man for Delhi as far as batting is concerned, as he has aggregated 306 runs in seven games which includes four half-centuries. Axar Patel, too, has contributed with runs down the order. In the bowling department, most of the bowlers have accounted for wickets in different situations. After finding their form in the last couple of matches, Delhi would look to carry the winning momentum forward in their next fixture against SRH.

Sunrisers Hyderabad, on the other hand, will be coming into the contest after getting hammered against Delhi in their last game. With two wins in seven games, they are currently placed ninth on the points table. Harry Brook has aggregated 163 runs in as many as seven games with one century to his name while Mayank Markande has managed to pick eight wickets in five games. The last time when both teams met, SRH failed to chase 145 runs and eventually lost against DC by seven runs. They would seek improved performances in both the bowling and batting departments to avenge their last defeat against DC.

Arun Jaitley Stadium Pitch Report

The surface in Delhi has traditionally been a fast bowler's ally but the shorter dimensions at the venue will help the batters in their attempt to post a big total on the board. Going by the latest trend in the competition, the team winning the toss would be inclined to bat first at this venue.
