England will be coming into the contest on the back of resounding victories in the first two games. Brook, along with Jonny Bairstow, added 131 runs partnership to help England post the second-highest total at Old Trafford while Jonny Bairstow carried the bat through, scoring his joint second-highest score of 86*. In the bowling department, both the games were impressed by the debutants; in the first game, Brydon Carse was brutal with a spell of 3/23, while in the second game, Gus Atkinson was too good against New Zealand, picking up four wickets for 20 runs. England will aim to continue their dominance and wrap up the series.
On the other hand, New Zealand was awful in both departments in the first two games. They scored 139 in the first game and got thrashed inside 14 overs, while in the second game, they were taken to the cleaners, giving away 198 runs in 20 overs and were bowled out cheaply for 103, eventually losing by a massive margin of 95 runs.
Glenn Philips scored 41 in the first game, while Tim Seifert scored 39 runs in the second. In the bowling department, New Zealand have taken just seven wickets, of which Ish Sodhi has picked three, and Tim Southee has picked two wickets.
