England will meet New Zealand for the third time in the four-match ODI series at The Oval, in London, on September 13, 2023. Both the teams are currently levelled (1-1) in the series with a win each to their name.

Dynamite performances from Liam Livingstone (95 off 78) and Sam Curran (42 off 35 ) helped England beat New Zealand by 79 runs. In the bowling department, David Willey and Reece Topley picked up three wickets each, while Moeen Ali picked up two wickets. England will look to continue their momentum when they take on New Zealand in the third ODI.

The bowling performances of Willey, Topley, and Moeen Ali were also a major factor in England's victory in the second ODI. They were able to restrict New Zealand to a below-par total, and they also picked up wickets at crucial times. Livingstone's knock was particularly impressive, as he took on the New Zealand bowlers and hit them all over the park. His scintillating knock included nine fours and a six, respectively.

However, New Zealand will look to bounce back in the third ODI. Daryl Mitchell was the sole BlackCaps batter to make a significant contribution, scoring a steady fifty 57 off 52 balls. He hit six fours and one six and was the only batter to score at more than a run a ball.

However, Mitchell's innings didn't prove enough to prevent New Zealand from losing the match. The other New Zealand batters struggled to get going, and they were all dismissed for relatively low scores. Left-arm pacer Trent Boult was the pick of the bowlers for New Zealand, picking up three wickets in his 7 overs. Boult was particularly effective with his swing bowling, and he was able to get the ball to move both ways.

The third ODI is expected to be a close contest between two evenly matched teams. The team that can best adapt to the conditions and play their best cricket will be the one that comes out on top.
