Punjab Kings (PBKS) welcome Rajasthan Royals (RR) as both sides play out in Match 66 of IPL 2023 on Friday, May 19, at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium, in Dharamsala. The Kings defeated the Royals by five runs when both sides met earlier in the reverse fixture in Guwahati. Notably, this will be the last league match for both teams before the playoff encounters begin on May 23.

Speaking about the performances, it’s been yet another poor campaign for Shikhar Dhawan’s side, as they have played 13 matches so far with just six victories and seven defeats. With 12 points and a net run rate of -0.308, they are placed in the eighth position in the table.

Meanwhile, after a solid start to their campaign, the Royals have stumbled miserably. They have also played 13 games with six wins and seven losses. With 12 points and a positive NRR of 0.140, they are positioned sixth in the table. (All standings till Match 64). The task of qualifying for the final four looks quite difficult for both teams but they will look to clinch a vital victory that will give them some hope of qualifying.
