Lucknow Super Giants and Punjab Kings exchanged blows in Match 11 of the Indian Premier League 2024 at the BRSABV Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on Saturday. LSG won the toss and decided to bat first. On the back of an impressive 53 from Quinton de Kock, and late assault from Nicholas Pooran and Krunal Pandya who scored 42 and 43 respectively, LSG posted 199 on the board.
PBKS were off to a great start as Shikhar Dhawan and Jonny Bairstow forged a 102-run partnership for the first wicket. The duo got dismissed at two different stages of the game, scoring 70 and 42 respectively. Things were not the same for PBKS as they did not overcome the loss of the set batters. Jitesh Sharma and Prabhsimran Singh got out in a hurry. Liam Livingstone who was injured was left for the tough work, and he could not see through PBKS and LSG won by 21 runs.

IPL 2024 Points Table:
Lucknow Super Giants have moved from last spot to the fifth spot in the points table after 21-run victory against PBKS. However, the Shikhar Dhawan-led side has slipped to sixth positions from the fifth and the loss has also dented their Net Run Rate.

With his knock of 70 runs in 50 balls, Shikhar Dhawan has breached the top five list and is seated upon third spot with 137 runs, below Virat Kohli and Heinrich Klaasen. LSG's power hitter, Nicholas Pooran has jumped to the fifth spot with 106 runs and has replaced SRH's Abhishek Sharma.
