IPL 2024: Stats Review: Highest team total at Lucknow and other stats from LSG vs PBKS

In the 11th match of IPL 2024, Lucknow Super Giants beat Punjab Kings by 21 runs at Lucknow's Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium on Saturday, March 30. 

After electing to bat first, LSG lost both KL Rahul and Devdutt Padikkal in the powerplay until wicketkeeper Quinton de Kock (54 off 38) and Marcus Stoinis (19 off 12) put up 33 in just 3.3 overs until Rahul Chahar slipped one through Stoinis. Stand-in skipper Nicholas Pooran (42 off 21) and Krunal Pandya (43 off 22) ensured that LSG reached a record 199/8.

In reply, Punjab Kings started very strongly, racking up 61/0 in the powerplay with skipper Shikhar Dhawan (70 off 50) and Jonny Bairstow (42 off 29) going hard at the target. Ultimately, IPL debutant and Player of the Match Mayank Yadav (4-0-27-3) put the brakes on the chase with a wonderful display of high speed bowling and PBKS ended up managing just 178/5.
