Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will take on Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in match 36 of IPL 2024 at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Sunday, April 21. In the ongoing tournament, the Knight Riders have won four matches and lost two matches so far. They are currently in second place in the points table. Thus, the Knight Riders would like to come back to their winning momentum.
On the other hand, the Royal Challengers have started the season slowly. They have won just one match and lost six matches so far. They are currently in the bottom place in the points table. The Bengaluru-based franchise badly want to win to gain momentum and keep their hope to move to the next stage. Thus, Faf du Plessis' men would like to come back to their winning momentum in the tournament. Moreover, RCB would like to take revenge for the previous encounter between the two, where Shreyas Iyer's Kolkata reigned supreme.

Speaking about the last game of the Knight Riders, Sunil Narine 109(56) who scored his maiden IPL ton played magnificent innings that helped his side to post a target of 224 for the opposition. With the ball, Narine (4-0-30-2) delivered beautifully, which helped KKR win a last-over thriller. But he didn't get support from other bowlers, as all other bowlers were expensive. It was a one-man show both with bat and ball from Knight Riders. There was no huge contribution from other batters and also other bowlers as well. As a result, they lost the previous match. Knight Riders will be hoping that he continues his good form and a good support from other bowlers and also other batters as well.

For RCB, Skipper Faf Du Plessis (62 off 28) played a superb innings and batted with intent in chasing the huge highest total. He stitched a fabulous partnership of 80 of just 38 deliveries with Virat Kohli (42 off 20) who also batted brilliantly which kept them in. In the end, Dinesh Karthik (83 off 35) played a magnificent innings which brought challengers close to the target and also which was registered as the highest score in the second Innings in the history of IPL. In a high-scoring game, the bowlers remained expensive, but they would be hoping to concede less at Eden, since the surface there assists the bowlers better.
