The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) play host to the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana International Cricket Stadium in Match 59 of the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL) on Friday, May 15.

Both sides played each other in their previous game on Sunday, May 10, at Chepauk, which the five-time champions won by five wickets after crossing the line in the last over. The win saw CSK jump up to fifth in the standings with 12 points from 11 matches. They have won three games on the bounce and find themselves in a prime position to break into the top four based on their current form.

LSG, on the other hand, have struggled all season long and are at the foot of the standings with just three wins to their name. Their last victory, however, came on home soil when they shocked defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

As is the case with all IPL matches this season, LSG vs CSK also sees some players on the brink of achieving a milestone on a personal level. With players playing T20 cricket around the year in a host of franchise leagues and on an international level, it is no surprise that every game sees some or the other record get broken.
