The month-long ICC T20 World Cup 2022 concluded with England emerging victorious in the summit clash against Pakistan, clinching their second world title. Till the very end of the competition, fans across the world got to witness many exciting clashes since the First Round filled with drama, high-octane bowling performances, sensational batting displays, and some major upsets.

More often than not, the batters dominated the competition and scored massive runs that tilt the game in their side’s favour. Topping the list of highest run-getters is India batter and former skipper Virat Kohli standing tall with 296 runs in mere six games at a batting average of 98.66. The batter smashed a historic match-winning knock against Pakistan (82* off 53 balls) and since then, he did not look back and ended the campaign, having scored four half-centuries in six outings.

Max O'Dowd stood second on the table with 242 runs in his eight outings for the Dutch side. The Netherlands were lucky to have his services throughout the event considering how impactful he was with the bat and that resonated well as he made it to the list of top run-getters.

Since the beginning of the year, Suryakumar Yadav has been in sensational form with his bat. Match after match, the flamboyant batter has proven his worth in the side on numerous occasions and been the most lethal one coming in the middle order. With 239 runs in six innings, he stood third in the list of highest run-getters.

The English skipper Jos Buttler was phenomenal with the bat and one cannot forget the terrific innings he played against team India that eventually knocked the latter out of the event. Buttler scored a majestic knock of 80 runs off just 49 balls at a strike rate of 163.27. He became the leading run-getter for the side and took the fourth place in the overall list of run-getters with 225 runs in six innings at an average of 45.00.

Sri Lanka’s Kusal Mendis has been another massive player who proved to be so vital for the side when he came on to the crease. At an average of 31.85 in eight games, the batter scored 223 runs for the side, standing fifth in the table below the England skipper.
