T20 World Cup 2022: Top six-hitters of the tournament

The T20 World Cup 2022 took place in Australia, where the stadiums are quite large and it is quite hard to clear the ropes. However, with the dynamic batters in the present era, anything is possible and the fans have witnessed some colossal sixes throughout the tournament. Despite the tough conditions and huge boundaries, the batters managed to find a way through and hit the maximums on a consistent basis.  

Despite Australia have sime of the largest cricket stadiums in the world, taking the aerial route proved to be the right way for the batters, and it was Sikandar Raza who ended up with most sixes in the tournament as the Zimbabwe all-rounder hit a total of 11 sixes in eight innings.

England’s Alex Hales had the chance to go past him in the final against Pakistan, however, the right-hander was dismissed for just one run and finished with 10 sixes. Sri Lanka’s Kusal Mendis was equally good and he ended up with 10 sixes although the Island nation did not progress into the knockouts.

Ireland skipper Andrew Balbirnie held the fourth position for the most number of sixes with nine to his name in seven innings. Marcus Stoinis, Suryakumar Yadav and Rilee Rossouw all ended up with nine sixes in their tally in the tournament.

Notably, it was England skipper Jos Buttler who hit the most number of sixes in the previous edition of the tournament with 13 to his name. The wicketkeeper-batter could not repeat the same but led the side to victory in the T20 World Cup 2022 title after beating Pakistan.
