Cricketing Trends on Social Media today

The cricketing trends on social media revolved around a number of events. The final of the 2021 edition of the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy took place on January 31. The match took place between Tamil Nadu and Baroda at the Sardar Patel Stadium in Ahmedabad. After winning the toss and electing to field first, Tamil Nadu didn’t allow Baroda to get away by any stretch of the imagination.

Baroda notched 120 runs for the loss of nine wickets. Barring Vishnu Solanki’s 55-ball 49, no other batter could make much of an impact. Atit Sheth notched 29 off 30 balls and gave the Baroda score some sort of respectability. For Tamil Nadu, M Siddarth picked up four crucial wickets to halt the Baroda batting.

Tamil Nadu needed only 18 overs to chase down the target. C Hari Nishanth became the top run-scorer with 35 runs. Skipper Dinesh Karthik also chipped in with 22 runs off 16 balls with three fours. The other batters also chipped in with some useful scores. Sam Billings was happy after being able to represent the Sydney Thunder in the 2020-21 edition of the Big Bash League (BBL).

Krunal Pandya was happy after Baroda ended as the runners-up. He played in the first four games after which he had to leave the team’s bio-secure bubble after his father passed away.
