Cricketing Trends on Social Media today

The 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is all set to get underway amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. The opening match of the tournament would be played on Friday, April 9 between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, also known as the Chepauk. Prior to the tournament, the teams are busy gearing up and practicing hard. Krunal Pandya, MI’s key all-rounder, is set to take the field and posted a picture where he can be seen working hard.

In the meantime, Krishnappa Gowtham was over the moon after he got the Chennai Super Kings’ (CSK) jersey from MS Dhoni, the team’s captain. Gowtham was a part of the Rajasthan Royals (RR) last season after which he was released. CSK’s opening game is against Delhi Capitals on Saturday, April 10 in Chennai itself. Danny Morrison, the former New Zealand cricketer, seemed excited about the start of the IPL to start.

On April 7, Pakistan beat South Africa by 28 runs in the third and final ODI of the series at the SuperSport Park in Centurion. Fakhar Zaman, who became the Player of the Series, was delighted after his team’s win. In the second game, he notched 193 runs at The Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg.
