Vivo recently pulled out as the title sponsors of IPL 2020 after receiving the backlash on social media. Vivo, a Chinese company, was lambasted by Indian fans in the wake of India-China border stand-off. Following Vivo’s departure, many names have emerged in the race of acquiring title sponsorships. According to reports, Yoga guru Baba Ramdev’s Patanjali is also considering to put in a bid for the title sponsorship.

Reports have suggested that many companies like Jio, Amazon, Tata group, Dream11 and Byju’s have stepped in the race. The news of Patanjali showing interest to acquire title sponsorship spread like wildfire on social media and it was trending on Twitter.

Meanwhile, recovery wishes poured in for former President Pranab Mukherjee after he revealed this afternoon that he has tested positive for the coronavirus while on a hospital visit for a separate procedure. In a tweet, Mukherjee urged all those who have come in contact with him in the last week to isolate themselves as a precaution. India international Shikhar Dhawan also wished him a speedy recovery.

Ahead of the start of IPL 2020 in the UAE, many players have started training to get back in shape for the tournament. India players, after staying away from the sport for months, will be itching to brace the field and deliver for their respective franchises.

On the occasion of World Lion Day, Royal Challengers Bangalore also paid tribute to their skipper Virat Kohli. RCB took to Twitter to share a post of Virat and asked fans to spot the difference between him and a lion.

India’s Test mainstay Ajinkya Rahane shared a clip while working out and notching up his fitness levels before the IPL 2020 unfolds. KL Rahul also shared a clip while sweating it out in the nets before this year’s IPL. The Karnataka lad will be leading Kings XI Punjab in the thirteenth edition of the IPL.
