The cricketing trends on social media revolved around a number of events. As the second Test is underway the whole day revolved around the exceptional batting display of Virat Kohli and his exceptional knock that helped India in posting a gigantic total of 601 runs at a loss of 5 wickets. Team India started of their morning with some persistent cricket and each batsman looked comfortable as Ajinkya Rahane scored 59 runs, followed by a swift knock of 91 runs from Ravindra Jadeja.
Indian skipper went onto get his hands on his 7th double ton before he took the decision to declare the innings after they posted a mountain looking score on the board. The Proteas bowlers only got two wickets for the whole day, later on, their batsmen were unable to face the pressure and were shattered by the Indian pacers and in just 9 overs, were blown away.
After the exceptional display shown by Team India, the cricketing fraternity came out on social media to congratulate them, alongside various former cricketing greats and current players who wished the senior Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan on his 77th birthday and many more.
1. Vaughan slams Indian pitches
Test Match Cricket pitches in India are boring … The first 3/4 days the contest is far too in favour of the Bat … needs more action for the bowler … My thought of the day … #INDvSA
