Cricketing trends on social media today

Even though the cricketing world is gripped in Indian Premier League (IPL) fever, there is another news that has managed to grab the spotlight. Babar Azam has managed to overtake Indian batting superstar Virat Kohli to emerge as the No.1 ranked batsman in ODI cricket, and, a plethora of Pakistan cricketers have showered praise on Azam for his incredible feat.

And of course, the IPL made its presence on social media too. Former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra has opined that the pitch for the match between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will be on the slower side. Today is also the ‘Puthandu’ for Tamil people, as 14th April marks the Tamil New Year Day, and the likes of Harbhajan Singh and Ravichandran Ashwin have extended their wishes regarding the same.

Meanwhile, former New Zealand cricketer Danny Morrison wants to see a few sixes in the match between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). And finally, Aakash Chopra feels that Rajat Patidar is unlucky to miss out on a place in the playing XI in the RCB side.
