The cricketing trends on social media revolved around a number of events. India is currently busy celebrating Diwali, also known as the festival of lights. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic all around the world, people have to be a tad careful while enjoying themselves on the day. The cricketers from around the world have dropped tweets, wishing their fans. Cheteshwar Pujara, the Indian batsman, posted an adorable picture with his wife. Pujara will be taking part in the four-match Test series, starting December 17 at the Adelaide Oval.
Last time when Pujara played a Test series in Australia, he was the leading run-scorer with three centuries. On the back of his knock, India won the Test series 2-1. Virat Kohli, the Indian captain, back then, became the first Indian skipper to win a Test series on Australian soil. In the meantime, the playoffs for the 2020 edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) got underway on Saturday, November 14.
Karachi Kings and Multan Sultans faced off in the Qualifier at the National Stadium in Karachi. In the meantime, Wasim Akram, the Kings’ interim coach, missed Dean Jones, their former coach. Back in September, Jones passed away after a heart attack during his commentary stint in the 2020 Indian Premier League (IPL). Mitchell McClenaghan was happy after Colin Munro was picked to play for Perth Scorchers.
