Cricketing Trends on Social Media today

The cricketing trends on social media revolved around a number of events. The playoffs of the 2020 edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) got done and dusted with. On Tuesday, November 17, Karachi Kings and Lahore Qalandars would be locking horns in the final at the National Stadium in Karachi.

On Sunday, the Qalandars were overjoyed as after finishing at the bottom of the table in four seasons, they eventually managed to make the final. In the Eliminator 2, Sohail Akhtar and Co defeated the Multan Sultans by 25 runs in Karachi. Danny Morrison was delighted with how the Qalandars performed on the day and won two matches on the trot.

In the meantime, Shan Masood, the Sultans’ captain was a tad disappointed after his team couldn’t make the final. During the match, there was a sporting moment between Haris Rauf and Shahid Afridi. After Rauf cleaned up Afridi, he apologised to the former Pakistan all-rounder with folded hands.

The gesture drew praises from the cricket world. Rawalpindi Express Shoaib Akhtar also dropped a message, praising Rauf on the heartfelt gesture. Former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan looked excited to take part in the inaugural edition of the Lanka Premier League (LPL).

Carlos Brathwaite wished Jonathan Carter on his birthday. Damien Martyn also wished Adam Gilchrist on his birthday. Naseem Shah didn’t forget to wish Waqar Younis on his birthday either. Suresh Raina spent some happy moments on Bhaidooj.
