The cricketing trends on the social media revolved around the Indian Premier League (IPL) match between Delhi Capitals (DC) and the Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Feroz Shah Kotla in New Delhi. The visiting team won the toss and elected to bat first on a strip that seemed to be on the slower side. Quinton de Kock and Rohit Sharma played their strokes freely and put on an opening-wicket stand of 57 runs off 37 balls.
Mumbai lost some quick wickets in the middle. However, the likes of Krunal Pandya and Hardik Pandya cobbled together a stand of 50 runs to help the visitors post 150 in their 20 overs. Meanwhile, former Indian cricketer Kris Srikkanth expected for a closely-fought affair and he was also awestruck by the energy of the Capitals’ youngsters. Aakash Chopra felt that one wicket at the Kotla brings two.
Irfan Pathan questioned Yuvraj Singh’s exclusion from the Mumbai playing eleven. Yuvraj played the first few games and he was later replaced by Ishan Kishan. Virat Kohli spent his time playing football ahead of Royal Challengers’ (RCB) match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
Today, Pakistan and South Africa announced their respective squad for the upcoming World Cup in England and Wales. Mohammad Amir, who has had an extended run of poor form, didn’t find a place in the Pakistan 15-member squad. Cricketers, both current and former, wished their teams for the mega event.

10. Shoaib concerned about Pakistan squad
My biggest concern is the pace dept. This squad lacks a leader of the pace attack, leader of the herd who is aggressive and goes out to attack. Hopefully Amir can be that.
In case that doesn't happen, @RealHa55an has to step up and fill that role along with @JunaidkhanREAL— Shoaib Akhtar (@shoaib100mph) April 18, 2019
