The cricketing trends on social media revolved around a number of events. Most of the talks were regarding the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) that took place in Chennai. Cheteshwar Pujara has gone unsold in the auction for quite a few players. The Saurashtra cricketer went to the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), the three-time IPL champions, at his base price of INR 50 lakhs. Pujara has been brilliant for his exploits in Test cricket, but he has strained to make his mark in the shortest format of the game.

In the meantime, Jaydev Unadkat, Ravi Ashwin among others wished Pujara before the tournament. Pujara is currently preparing for the third Test against England, scheduled to get underway on February 24 at the Sardar Patel Stadium in Ahmedabad. Wasim Jaffer, the former Indian cricketer, had a talk on bowlers having to bowl to Pujara. Yuzvendra Chahal was happy after Glenn Maxwell was picked by the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the auction.

The 2020 edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) is set to get underway on February 20. The opening match is set to be played between defending champions Karachi Kings and Quetta Gladiators at the National Stadium in Karachi. Rohit Sharma was happy with Mumbai Indians’ work in the auction.
