Here is how the cricketing fraternity spent their day on Twitter and Instagram today.

The cricketing trends on social media revolved around a number of events. Rashid Khan, the Afghanistan spinner, turned 21 years and he was showered with wishes from every nook and corner of the cricketing fraternity. The likes of Wriddhiman Saha, Aakash Chopra and Hazratullah Zazai, his teammate from the Afghan national team. Rashid recently became the youngest Test captain in the only Test against Bangladesh at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram. The Afghans won the match comfortably.

He is currently leading the team in the tri-nation series, involving Bangladesh and Zimbabwe. Kevin Pietersen enjoyed his time, playing golf and he posted a video of the same. Umesh Yadav was over the moon after India ‘A’ won the two-match unofficial Test series versus South Africa ‘A’. The hosts won the opening match in Thiruvananthapuram by seven wickets and the second contest in Mysore was drawn. Irfan Pathan was happy with the preparation of the Jammu and Kashmir team for the upcoming Vijay Hazare Trophy.

Unmukt Chand, who recent moved from Delhi, posted a couple of picturesque clicks under the clouds. South African cricketer Faf du Plessis was not happy with the British Airways by any stretch of the imagination and he vented his frustration out on them for their poor service. Pakistan batsman Asif Ali reminisced his late daughter, who passed away a few months ago after Stage 4 cancer, on her birthday. Ravi Shastri, the head coach of the Indian cricket team, spent some time with Rahul Dravid and the other members of the support staff.
