The cricketing trends on social media today revolved around various events with the former and current cricketers tweeting about the same. The trending subject of the day was England getting bowled out for a paltry 67 under the bright skies in the ongoing third Ashes Test at Headingley. Josh Hazlewood ran through their line-up to register a sensational five-wicket haul while Pat Cummins bowled menacingly to keep England at bay as well.

For England, only Joe Denly crossed the 10-run mark while the other couldn’t make a mark at all as they were skittled out in just 27.5 overs. Michael Vaughan was clearly not happy with the batsmen and termed it as a ‘pathetic effort’. Meanwhile, the former Australian cricketers enjoyed their team’s effort with the ball and lauded the Tim Paine-led side.

Cricket is set to return to Pakistan for a whole series as Sri Lanka has agreed to travel to the country. The Men in Green will host the Island nation for the three ODIs and the same number of T20 Internationals in September and October this year.
