The major cricketing trends on Sunday revolved around the terrorist attacks in Sri Lanka. A series of eight devastating bomb blasts shook the entire country. The terrorists attacked churches and hotels where there were Easter Sunday celebrations and prayers going on. Over 200 people were killed in these dastardly attacks including more than a dozen foreigners. Cricketers from all around the globe offered their condolences to those who were affected by this act.

While Azhar Mahmood was gutted with the attacks, Anil Kumble said that he was at one of the attacked hotels just a few days ago. Joe Root, Mahmudullah Riyad, Waqar Younis amongst others reacted to the incident and offered prayers to the victims. Niall O’Brien, meanwhile, put up a tweet where he wished his fans a wonderful Easter.

The other trends revolved around the game between SRH and KKR. Tom Moody said that he was out of superlatives to describe the Warner-Bairstow combo while VVS Laxman seemed elated about the win. Aakash Chopra was highly impressed with Kane Williamson’s captaincy.
