The cricketing trends on the social media revolved around a number of events. Indian all-round cricketer Axar Patel posted an adorable picture of his birthday celebration yesterday. Chinaman bowler Tabraiz Shamsi posted a video of an umpire and also wanted him to be included in the next edition of the Mzansi Super League (MSL). Former South African cricketer Herschelle Gibbs enjoyed his time, playing golf in Dubai.
Michael Vaughan reckons D’Arcy Short should be included in the Australian team after the latter scored 73 runs from 52 balls for Hobart Hurricanes in their match against Adelaide Strikers at the Adelaide Oval. Mark Waugh predicted the Aussie eleven for the opening Test against Sri Lanka that gets underway on Thursday, January 24 at the Gabba in Brisbane. Vinod Kambli congratulated Wasim Jaffer who scored his 57th first-class ton.
Cricketer turned commentator Danny Morrison heaped praises on Laurie Evans, who scored the first century of this edition’s Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) against Comilla Victorians, representing Rajshahi Kings. In the meantime, Wayne Parnell is set to play for Sylhet Sixers in the BPL.
