Cyclone Amphan has wreaked havoc in North-East part of the country as many people have been left homeless. The cyclone has caused severe damage to the property too and the death toll in West Bengal is rising with time. Many cricketers rued over the calamity and mourned the loss of lives as well as property. Amit Mishra also expressed his thoughts and prayers to people who have been affected by the calamity.
Washington Sundar also offered prayers to all those who have been affected by the cyclone. The pictures of the damage caused by the cyclone are certainly disturbing and Sundar prayed for the situation to get better with time. Team India head coach Ravi Shastri and Mumbai’s Suryakumar Yadav also prayed for the well-being of people in Odisha and West Bengal.
Wasim Jaffer, who is currently spending his time under quarantine like all other cricketers, shared a picture of Michael Jordan and compared him with Sir Viv Richards. According to Jaffer, Jordan was phenomenal due to his self-belief, dedication and determination.
Many international cricketers have resorted to TikTok to keep themselves busy during the quarantine. Kevin Pietersen also joined the bandwagon and shared a TikTok video where he can be seen playing his cricketing shots. Along with Kevin Pietersen, David Warner has also been quite active on the application and the southpaw has shared many videos so far amid the pandemic.
