The cricketing trends on social media revolved around a number of events. There were talks surrounding India’s third T20I versus South Africa at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. The hosts won the toss and elected to bat first on a deck, which is more known for chasing down targets. Subramaniam Badrinath, the former Indian batsman, was a tad taken aback by Virat Kohli’s decision. Cricketer turned commentator Aakash Chopra was happy with the Men in Blue’s approach of showing intent.
There was a time when India were going at a rate of around nine before a few quick wickets pegged them back a wee bit. Yesterday, Essex won the T20 Blast in England. The team, captained by Simon Harmer, managed to defeat Worcestershire by four wickets at the Edgbaston in Birmingham. The match went right down to the wire as Essex chased down 146. After the victory, Ryan ten Doeschate, the veteran all-rounder, lauded his teammates and also thanked the fans for their immense support throughout.
Chris Tremlett prefers training on rainy days. KL Rahul, who recently lost his spot in the Indian Test team, posted his photo, captioning it with a motivational quote. The whole of India celebrates father’s day every fourth Sunday of September and this time it was on September 22. On the auspicious day, Indian cricketers posted some adorable photos along with their daughters. The likes of Parthiv Patel, Harbhajan Singh, Suresh Raina, Kedar Jadhav, Gautam Gambhir and many others expressed their admiration for their beloved daughter.
1. Aakash Chopra happy with India’s attacking approach
Intent is the most talked about word of Kohli’s captaincy tenure. And that’s exactly what we’ve seen today…batting till 9 means ultra-aggressive approach throughout. That’s exactly what India’s attempting. #IndvSA
