The cricketing trends on social media today revolved around Mary Kom becoming the World Champion in Boxing as the current and former cricketers lined up to congratulate her. Most of the Indian cricketers spared time to appreciate her for her achievement even at this age and hailed for her commitment towards. Meanwhile, Irfan Pathan was all praise about Kashmiri traditions and was loving the way people were treating him as he is playing for the Jammu and Kashmir team.
There was also a lot of buzz about the third Test between England and Sri Lanka in Colombo. Sri Lanka were looking comfortable in the middle after a second wicket partnership between Dimuth Karunaratne and Dhananjaya de Silva. But after that was broken, they collapsed like a pack of cards and from a comfortable position of 173/1 they were bundled out for 240 conceding a lead of 96 runs on the turning pitch.
India and Australia are all set to play the third and final T20I in Sydney tomorrow as both the teams reached the city today. The Men in Yellow lead the series by 1-0 at the moment as they won in Brisbane by just four runs while gotout of the jail in the next game at the MCG. The decider will be crucial for the Men in Blue as they haven’t lost their last seven bilateral T20I series and will be keen to level the series on Sunday.
