Cricketing trends on social media today

There were a wide range of topics that grabbed the attention on social media in the cricketing world on 27th June 2021. First up, today marks the birthdays of two legends of the game. While England batting superstar Kevin Pietersen turns 41 today, South African bowling icon Dale Steyn is celebrating his 38th birthday today.

And, many cricketers have taken to social media to offer their wishes to both Pietersen and Steyn on their special days. Meanwhile, Hanuma Vihari has tweeted that his mother has been vaccinated against Covid-19. And, Samit Patel wants Alex Hales to return back to the England T20I squad.

Also, Shikhar Dhawan, who has been named as the captain of the Indian side for the limited-overs series against Sri Lanka is ready for the tour, and Suresh Raina and Harbhajan Singh have wished Dhawan as India embarks to Sri Lanka.
