Cricketing Trends on Social Media today

The wrath of Coronavirus has severely affected the lives of lakhs of individuals across the globe. The pandemic has put a halt to all the human activities and several governments have been forced to implement a lockdown in their respective countries. Apart from affecting the human existence, the pandemic has also taken a toll on all major sporting events across the globe.

Amid this crisis, Ratan Tata’s Tata Trusts has contributed a staggering amount of INR 500 crores to battle against the pandemic. This move by lauded by many members of the cricketing fraternity including Yuzvendra Chahal and Amol Muzumdar. Harbhajan Singh also lauded Tata’s move.

Meanwhile, amid the lockdown, many cricketers are indulging in Question and Answer session with their fans on Twitter and the recent joinee in the list was none other than Wasim Jaffer. The former India player answered a plethora of questions and also gave a hilarious response when a fan asked him to choose between Virat Kohli and Sachin Tendulkar. Jaffer also opined on Virender Sehwag, Rahul Dravid and Rohit Sharma.

Suresh Raina also received applauds after the left-hander donated INR 52 lakhs amid the Coronavirus pandemic. In this trying times, many cricketers have come forward and made notable donations in the battle against the pandemic. The Chennai Super Kings’ pre-training camp was called off a few days ago due to the increasing outbreak of Covid-19. Mohammad Amir also came forward and urged everyone to contribute for the initiative started by Shahid Afridi Foundation. South Africa’s stalwart AB de Villiers also shared precautions for everyone at a time when the world is severely hit by the pandemic.
