Amid the lockdown, many prominent names have been active on social media. From Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma to Hardik Pandya and Yuzvendra Chahal– all senior and junior cricketers are indulging in Twitter Question & Answer sessions and Instagram live sessions. Meanwhile, joining the bandwagon was one of the most exciting prospects of Indian cricket– Shubman Gill. The Punjab batsman shared many interesting choices and opinions in his Q&A session.
Meanwhile, several members of the cricket fraternity including Virat Kohli and Sachin Tendulkar paid tribute to Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan. The national award-winning actor passed away in Mumbai after battling a medical complication that arose from a colon infection. The Bollywood starlet was known for his effortless acting and the whole Twitter universe mourned his death.
Yuvraj Singh, Ravi Shastri, Sachin Tendulkar, Umesh Yadav, Shoiab Akhtar, Suresh Raina— all prominent names took it to Twitter to express their grief over the passing of the Bollywood actor. They also lauded Irrfan’s acting skills and his on-screen presence. Irrfan was last seen in recently-released Bollywood film Angrezi Medium.
Former India pacer, Ashish Nehra, who is known for his long cricket career as well as his quirky nature, celebrated his 41st birthday. His teammates such as Harbhajan Singh extended birthday wishes to the Delhi-born speedster. In a career spanning over 120 ODIs and 17 Tests, Nehra scalped 157 and 44 wickets respectively.
