The cricketing trends on social media revolved around a number of events. The Qualifier of the Big Bash League (BBL) took place between the Perth Scorchers and Sydney Sixers at the Manuka Oval in Canberra. During the game, the umpire again came under fire for some poor umpiring. Mitchell Marsh fell prey to a poor decision in the first innings of the game.

Steve O’Kefee bowled one down the leg side and Marsh had a hit. But then, he was absolutely shocked after the on-field umpire gave him out. He was not happy after being given out and said something nasty after going back. Stuart Broad feels that DRS should have been there in the tournament.

Fawad Alam was happy after Pakistan beat South Africa in the opening Test at the National Stadium in Karachi. Brad Hogg feels that Brisbane Heat will spring a surprise and face the Perth Scorchers in the final of the popular T20 league.
