So, it is time to delve into what our favorite cricketers did today on social media. Needless to say, social media is a powerful tool in today’s world, and the cricketers make their thoughts and opinions felt regarding several issues in the world of cricket. The second day of the third Test between India and England witnessed savagery from the willow of Rishabh Pant, and several cricketers offered their praises to the 23-year-old batting sensation.
Rohan Gavaskar even stated that this century from Pant will serve as a strong message to Pant’s critics. Cricketer turned commentator Aakash Chopra was totally in love with the reverse sweep that Pant played off the bowling of James Anderson. And, Sanjay Manjrekar was in awe of the delivery that Ben Stokes bowled to get rid of Indian skipper Virat Kohli. Continuing chatter about the 4th Test, Michael Vaughan opined that while the bowling in the 4th Test has been absolutely top class, the batting has been a letdown from both sides.
The Umpires call continued to remain in the news, as the likes of Aakash Chopra and Jaydev Unadkat stated that the Umpires call is one that should be debated. Michael Atherton was in awe of the way James Anderson and Ben Stokes bowled. Meanwhile, Ravindra Jadeja continued to put in the hard work in the gym to regain match fitness. And talking about fitness, Suresh Raina is putting in the hard work in the gym as well. Sandeep Lamichhane was sad that the PSL was postponed, but hoped that he would be back soon.
The Road Safety World Series will commence today with the India Legends taking on the Bangladesh Legends, and Mohammad Kaif caught up with the great Sachin Tendulkar on the eve of India’s first match. The Pathan brothers are gearing up for the Road Safety series as well and posted a heartwarming picture about the same. And finally, Manoj Tiwary had a massive statement to make, regarding Rohit Sharma and his technique with the willow.
All in all, it was a very eventful day. So, let us see the various tweets that the cricketers put out today.
