There were a wide variety of things that the cricketers spoke about on social media on 8th June 2021. Dinesh Karthik has posted a picture where he can be seen having lunch with the legendary Sunil Gavaskar. And, England pacer Ollie Robinson is under the spotlight for his racist tweets that have become the talking point in the world of cricket.
Former Australian spinner Brad Hogg has opined that punishing Robinson for tweets that he has posted a decade ago is not fair, while Michael Vaughan has offered a contrary opinion, and has stated that the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has dealt with Robinson in a fair manner.
Former Indian skipper Mohammad Azharuddin is reflecting on India’s victory over Pakistan in the 1999 World Cup. India beat their arch-rivals by 47 runs in that encounter. Meanwhile, Ravichandran Ashwin has opined that language should be used as a medium of communication.
Today is also World Ocean Day, and the likes of Deepti Sharma, Chaminda Vaas, and Punam Raut have offered their thoughts on the importance of the oceans to the world. And finally, Brad Hogg feels that New Zealand will start as the favorites in the summit clash of the World Test Championship against India.

2. Brad Hogg states that punishing Ollie Robinson is not fair
Punishing a guy for regrettable naive tweets from 10 years ago at the age of 18 is extremely harsh on Ollie Robinson. He has had his troubles. His debut should be a celebration of how he has turned his life around in the last 5 years. People change and grow. #ENGvNZ #Cricket

3. Michael Vaughan offers his opinion on the Ollie Robinson issue
I think the ECB have dealt with the Ollie Robinson situation in a fair way .. many will disagree .. but hearing some say he should never play again is utterly ridiculous .. he will play against India & should 👍
